"As the father of a child with cerebral palsy, I am especially pleased to see the publication of Finding A Way - Living with Cerebral Palsy. Children with CP face many unique challenges in their lives. One of the biggest challenges is the fact that most other children and adults don't understand CP. Many think that children with cerebral palsy are different. We must all remember to look beyond one's surface we must look at the person. Children and adults with CP are often some of the brightest and most personable individuals that you'll ever meet. Folks with CP and other disabling conditions want to be treated the same as those of us who are viewed as fully-abled. Like the rest of us, they want the opportunity to go to school, have good jobs and great friendships, and to be a part of a loving family. If Finding A Way helps even one child with CP to cope with their challenge, and helps one fully-abled child to understand and look beyond the surface, it is of great value."
